Four years ago, I was away in London working hard to acquire the skills necessary to be the best onstage actress and singer I could be...and although I cast an absentee ballot for the candidates and measures I felt best reflected my views in my district, I missed being in the United States at the moment that a man that I admired as a leader, a father, and a husband became the President of the United States of America. On November 6, 2012, I was able to participate in the process of choosing leadership for the country of my birth and standing in Times Square when we heard the final result. Nothing could make me prouder than to have the right to vote and be able to execute my right. This was a moment in my life that I will never forget.
